The integrated pressurized solar water heater utilizes heat pipes for efficient water heating. Here’s an overview of its operation:
1. *olar Collector: Mounted on the roof or in sunlight-rich areas, the collector consists of evacuated tubes, each containing a copper heat pipe.
2. Evacuated Tubes & Heat Pipes: The heat pipe, filled with a working fluid (e.g., water or alcohol), has two sections: an evaporator in the collector and a condenser in the storage tank.
3. Solar Absorption & Heat Transfer: Sunlight heats the fluid in the evaporator, causing it to vaporize. The vapor then moves to the condenser, where it releases its heat, warming the water in the tank.
4. Gravity Circulation: Gravity drives the condensed liquid back to the evaporator, ensuring continuous circulation.
5. Pressurized Storage Tank: The tank is pressure-resistant and stores hot water, which can be supplied directly to plumbing fixtures.
6. Temperature Regulation: Sensors and a controller maintain optimal temperature and pressure for efficient and safe operation.
This system is highly efficient, providing reliable hot water even in varying weather conditions, while offering better water pressure than non-pressurized alternatives.
Characteristics of an integrated solar water heater system’s key features:
Thermosyphon Principle:
The natural circulation of water is actively achieved through the thermosyphon principle. This means that hot water naturally rises and circulates through the system, eliminating the need for a pump.
The pressure of the hot water is large and equal to the running water pressure, ensuring efficient distribution.
Pressure-Bearing Water Tank:
The water tank is designed as a pressure-bearing structure with a test pressure of 1.2Mpa and a working pressure of 0.7Mpa. This indicates that the system is robust and can handle certain pressure conditions.
The inner tank material is made of food-grade stainless steel (SUS304 or 316L), ensuring water safety.
The inner tank is welded using fully automatic argon arc welding and double-sided argon gas protection, contributing to the durability of the tank. The inner tank is expected to have a service life of more than 15 years.
Polyurethane Insulation:
The solar water tank is insulated with polyurethane that has independent bubbles and a foaming density of 36KG/m3.
This insulation results in a minimal temperature drop of less than 2 °C of hot water within 12 hours.
The insulation is effective enough to maintain a temperature of 25 °C for 24 hours, and it is resistant to deformation over a long period.
Solar Heat Pipe:
The solar heat pipe utilizes a phase-change heat transfer design, leading to a fast start-up of heat energy.
The heat pipe can reach temperatures of up to 222 °C when exposed to sunlight, providing high-temperature hot water.
The system employs double-layer solar vacuum tubes with AL/N/AL/SS/CU coating, ensuring high absorption rates (>92%), low reflectivity (<8%), and an expected service life of 15 years.
These characteristics collectively make the integrated solar water heater efficient, durable, and capable of providing hot water using both solar and thermosyphon principles.
Keep in mind that proper installation and maintenance are crucial to ensure optimal performance over time.
